ARIEL SPADARI 18/01/1986 - São Paulo - Brazil
Graduated in visual arts at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo, Ariel blended his education with his interest in research on topics related to nature. His training includes several courses in the area of biological sciences such as environmental technician, botany and taxidermy. These subjects reflect directly on his production, within the experimentation and exploration of organic and inorganic materials in the construction of the works.
In 2016 he participated in the Vale do Ribeira artistic residency, a residence far from the urban environment, and the pieces of art made on the occasion followed in traveling exhibition through the valley and surroundings in various cultural institutions.
During the 57th Venice Biennale 2017, he exhibited his works at the Antarctic Pavilion, selected by a jury composed of Hans-Ulrich Obrist, Hani Rashid, Sheikha Hoor al-Qasimi, Nadim Samman and Alexander Ponomarev
In an artistic cultural exchange between 2016 and 2018 he lived in Japan to study ceramics, carpentry and other traditional oriental techniques that would be absorbed in his production.
After attendet the course “Visions of Nature: Poetics, Artificialism and Science” as a special student of Prof. Master and Doctor Hugo Fortes from the University of São Paulo, he would start his master's degree in Visual Poetics at the same institution under the guidance of Hugo, to be completed in 2023.
He also participates as a researcher in the group IMAGINATUR: Images of Nature, exploring this theme with other artists.
